چکیده
Abstract Purpose Evaluation of a lozenge for targeted micronutrition (holo-BLG), new invention based on the farm effect, in house dust mite (HDM) allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (ARC) patients standardized allergen exposure chamber (AEC). Methods Eligible HDM were exposed to raw material an AEC 120 min before (V1) and after (V3) 3 months holo-BLG supplementation. Nasal, conjunctival, bronchial other symptoms rated by every 10 and, wellbeing, peak nasal inspiratory flow (PNIF), lung function parameters 30 min. Primary endpoint was change median Total Nasal Symptom Score (TNSS) at V3 compared V1 exposure. Secondary endpoints consisted exploratory analysis temporal evolution symptom scores using linear mixed effects models. Results A total 32 included analysis. significant improvement 60% ( p = 0.0034) primary TNSS (V1 2.5 [interquartile range, IQR 1–4], 1.0 [IQR 1–3]) observed. 40% seen 5.0 3–9], 3.0 2–4]; [Wilcoxon test: confidence interval 1.5–4.0, < 0.0003]). The all personal wellbeing revealed clinically meaningful over time, manifested lower increase during final No relevant differences observed PNIF parameters. Safety tolerability as excellent. Conclusions effect resulting immune resilience might help fight allergy epidemic front cells. Trial registration study retrospectively registered clinicaltrials.gov (NCT04477382).

Variability of house dust mite allergen exposure in dwellings.
The variability of repeated house dust mite (HDM) allergen determinations at the same site within 3-24 months was evaluated on previously collected samples. Between two and four repeated measurements of Der p 1, a major allergen of Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus and Der f 1, a major allergen of D. farinae, on 46 carpets and 31 mattresses were analyzed. In 90% of carpets and mattresses, HDM alle...

BACKGROUND The efficacy of bed covers that are impermeable to house dust mites has been disputed. AIM The aim of the present study was to investigate whether the combination of 'house dust mite impermeable' covers and a self-management plan, based on peak flow values and symptoms, leads to reduced use of inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) than self-management alone. DESIGN OF STUDY Prospective, ...

BACKGROUND House dust mites (HDMs) are important sources of indoor allergens. Seventeen components have been identified from Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Der p). OBJECTIVE Our aim was to define the prevalence of specific IgE to components of Der p in Korea and investigate the clinical features of them in children with allergic disease. METHODS We performed a prospective evaluation of 80 ...

BACKGROUND House dust mite allergen levels in humid coastal regions of Australia are high, particularly in beds. Because high allergen levels in beds are associated with more severe asthma, reduction of levels may be important for asthma control. OBJECTIVE We tested the effectiveness of an acaricidal treatment of bedding in combination with occlusive mattress and pillow encasings in reducing ...

There is an increasing trend in the global prevalence, morbidity, and economic burden associated with asthma in recent decades [1]. The Global Strategy for Asthma Management and Prevention Report [2] defined asthma as a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways in which many cells and cellular elements are involved. Both host factors (primarily genetic) and environmental factors (primarily a...
